The film is being made as an international co-production, and is scheduled for release in 2026. The cast will include AGATA KULESZA (lead role) and BARTOSZ BIELENIA.
The Time That Never Came is an ambitious genre cinema. In a world where old age has become the biggest taboo, Sara (Agata Kulesza) and her partner Oskar (Dobromir Dymecki) planned to grow old together. However, they made different choices. Sara remained faithful to the natural course of life, Oskar took advantage of a revolutionary anti-geriatric treatment, ensuring youth and a place in the new society. Years later, they unexpectedly meet – they are separated by their looks, united by their lack of answers to questions pushed to the background over the years. Can feelings survive time and irreversible changes? Is it possible to be free in a world that denies the right to pass?
The film balances between a dystopian and emotional tale of love, time and choices whose consequences shape all of life. It’s a cinema full of non-obvious beauty and reflection, which is part of the current of contemporary stories about the future, where the key is not technology, but the human condition.
