‘I’m not an actress who lies down after every performance, breathes hard and can’t get up. I know how to use my tools, I’m professionally fit. But from time to time it is possible to elevate this profession to the status of an art. Sure, one may never get such a chance. I got it. And I lurk like a vampire for moments when I can touch something important. This sometimes happens in theater, sometimes in film. But you can’t pretend it happens every time.’
