Agnieszka Holland will receive the Career Achievement Award from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association!
“With moral clarity, deep empathy and invigorating cinema, her work exposes the damage that oppressive regimes and socio-political conflicts do to everyday souls. At a time of growing unrest around the world, with authoritarianism on the rise, Holland’s fiercely humanitarian films remind us that history is not completely behind us, and vibrant political cinema is now more important than ever ” – LAFCA President Robert Abele.
The awards will be presented on December 10.
