“Lukasz Kluskiewicz for Onet: this will be the best year for viewers in Poland.”
In an interview with Onet, Lukasz Kluskiewicz, director of movies for Central and Eastern Europe at Netflix, announces projects that are expected to surprise and attract viewers.
Diverse genres, well-known names and ambitious projects all make the upcoming premieres worth waiting for, among them.
– Heweliusz – a disaster drama inspired by the story of the sinking of the ferry ‘Jan Heweliusz’, on screen we will see, among others, MICHAŁ ŻURAWSKI and MIROSŁAW KROPIELNICKI
– The second season of the series 1670 – satirical comedy, the story of Jan, a Polish Sarmatian who dreams of making his mark on Polish history. The cast includes BARTŁOMIEJ TOPA and KATARZYNA HERMAN.
– Święty – a film directed by JAN P. MATUSZYŃSKI:
“This is the first time we are working with director Jan P. Matuszyński. He is in great shape after Eastern Gate. He decided to work with us and to screen the film according to the original script by Krzysztof Gureczny.
Święty is an electrifying story of a man who comes out of prison years later and has to exact an unobvious revenge. He has to get even. It’s also a film that makes rather subversive use of the Christmas anthura. Viewers will be able to find out what an Advent calendar can be used for by a man who gets out of prison after many years.
We are in the final stages of shooting. The film is being shot in and around Warsaw, with an array of Polish actors. The premiere is scheduled for early next year.”
