“Minghun” (dir. JAN P. MATUSZYNSKI, cinematography by KACPER FERTACZ, production design by JOANNA KACZYÑSKA) on the list of this year’s most promising cinema premieres according to Kinofilia blog.
“It’s a story about Jurek (Marcin Dorociński), whose daughter dies in a car accident. At the urging of his father-in-law (Daxing Zhang), he decides to perform a Chinese ritual, the title minghun, which is a nuptial ceremony after death. The men set off in search of a suitable (dead) candidate for a “husband” for the dead girl. It sounds intriguing. And international.”
