“Pani od polskiego” in theaters from May 9th. | 15.05.2025
“1942. Borderlands. Strong and independent Eliza begins work as a teacher in a village school. There she meets Stach – a duty-avoiding, trouble-loving boy, who becomes the object of her fascination and her nascent great love. However, Stach is sent to forced labor in the Third Reich. After his departure, Eliza gives birth to their child together and, with the infant in her arms, sets off in the footsteps of her beloved. She finds him in Frankfurt and there they try to survive, despite inhumane conditions and constant humiliation. All the while Eliza fights for her dignity, the life of her child and, most difficult of all, for the love of Stach, who initially considered their relationship a fleeting affair. Now, in the heat of the war trial, the two get to know each other for real, and the bond that exists between them changes as time passes.”
