Jurek, together with his father-in-law Ben, confronts the loss of a loved one and decides to perform the Chinese ritual of ‘minghun’, the so-called nuptials after death.
The characters embark on an emotional journey with the goal of finding the perfect partner for eternity.
The clash of disparate cultures is meant to help make both the film characters and the viewer realize that regardless of our backgrounds, we all belong to one human family.
“Minghun” is a story about hope, love and the search for the meaning of life and what comes after it. It is a moving, tender and personal cinema that tells about the most important values in human life, giving the viewer what is most needed in our times – hope.
