The character of Marta in the film is played by Marieta Żukowska. In Challenge of the Bow, she is mature in her acting, camera-conscious, beautiful, and sharp. Although she positions herself sideways in every glance, she pierces with every word and is clear in her speech. She swears, and the profanity coming from her mouth sounds excellent. She is emphatically felt on screen and is confident. She moves dynamically. Barczyk set the backdrop for her performance with the landscape of an island with sharp stones, gray rocks, dark sea, black beach, and high mountains. Everything reflects the atmosphere of loss and creates coherence at the same time.”
