“Franz” is a Polish-Czech-German co-production. The film is scheduled for release in 2025.
The title role will be played by a German actor of the younger generation, Idan Weiss, and the character of Franz Kafka’s mother will be played by SANDRA KORZENIAK.
The film was shot in the Czech Republic and Germany. The cinematographer is TOMASZ NAUMIUK.

The film biography of the 20th-century novelist is intended to reflect the complex personality of the artist. The filmmakers will show different periods of his life, from his birth in 1883 in Prague to his premature death from tuberculosis in 1924. There will be no shortage of scenes from his private life, as well as Kafka’s literary world. The film is also expected to include forward-looking images.
