The gala premiere of the film “Rzeczy niezbędne” by KAMILA TARABURA! | 23.09.2024
On Thursday, September 19th was a premiere of Rzeczy niezbędne – the feature debut of KAMILA TARABURA.
“In the hands of Ada, an established journalist living in Hamburg, a mysterious package arrives. It is a book with the memoirs of a woman who was molested as a child by her father, written under a pseudonym, with a personal dedication to Ada. The journalist decides to meet the author, who turns out to be her former schoolmate Roxana. Together they embark on a journey to the town where they grew up to confront Roksana’s mother, a silent witness to her childhood hell. On the spot, however, it turns out that the mother hardens the family secrets, maintaining the image of an ideal husband and family. Ada decides to describe this complicated and intriguing story in a reportage, although for her, in fact, the subject of Roxana is not the most important one on the trip. She herself also has to reckon̨ with the demons of the past – they are the ones that prevent her from moving forward in her relationship with her partner, with whom she is advanced in her pregnancy. Emotions between the heroines thicken, and Ada finds it increasingly difficult to keep her distance and judgé what is a lie and what is the truth.”
